We are all biochemically unique, and therefore, what works for one person may not work for another. I prioritize eating whole, unadulterated food over refined + packaged food. I aim to incorporate protein, health fats, fiber, and colorful plant foods at every meal. However, I don’t count calories or macros. I love to upgrade the flavor + medicinal benefits of my meals with herbs & spices 🤌🏼 💥Breakfast: (2 hours after waking) @thecoconutcult probiotic yogurt, persimmons, pomegranate, sprouted pepitas, Brazil nuts, @purely_elizabeth grain-free granola + matcha latte. 💥Lunch: Shakshouka (pasture-raised eggs, garlic, chili powder, cumin, harissa, tomato sauce) w/ @forceofnature ancestral blend (ground bison muscle meat, liver, & heart). 💥Dinner: Wild salmon w/ green curry (sweet potato, green beans, mushrooms, onion, snap peas, zucchini, coconut milk, bone broth, curry paste) topped w/ cilantro, cashews, & furikake. Let’s drop the labels in 2022''

    Play video 'This past week, I joined 300 other adventure seekers in the mountains of south Poland with @iceman_hof for his winter expedition retreat. My intention coming to this retreat was to challenge myself physically, and to increase my capacity to sit in discomfort. I also showed up at the retreat solo with the intention to connect with other like-minded people and foster new relationships and community. Boy did I meet and exceed these intentions. The collective power of this community was unlike anything I have experienced before. So much love, vulnerability, passion, and determination. It was inspiring! In addition to daily breathwork sessions, we spent our time emerging ourselves in freezing cold waters ranging from 4°C (39°F) to 1°C (33°F). Arguably our hardest challenge of the retreat was climbing and summiting Mt. Snêžka (5,300 ft) in the snow in -10°C (14°F) + windchill at the top felt like -25°C (-13°F). I left this experience incredibly in awe of the human body and what it is capable of doing. I have never felt more ALIVE! Our breath is our direct line to the autonomic nervous system. Synchronizing breath to movement, and staying focused in the present moment, allows you to manipulate the autonomic nervous system to thermoregulate and stay warm. With intention & focus and tuning into the breath, you can (bio)hack your biology to achieve extraordinary things. Have you tried the Wim Hof method? Would you go to this retreat?''
