Always save extra rice! Whether it’s from a restaurant or just leftover from cooking, day old rice is perfect for frying the next day. The last shot of this reel makes me laugh when I watch it back bc I genuinely am that happy to be eating. Nothing like a little hangover cure…🍳. Lasagna. Gotta be up there somewhere in the all time top 10 comfort foods? People have been telling me that they actually try cooking some of the stuff they see on Insta so I’m gunna give you the recipe for this if you wanna try it: Ragu: 500g high fat beef mince 500g pork sausage 2 carrot 2 celery sticks 2 onions 4 cloves of garlic Aromatics (optional) Tomato paste White white 1/2 bottle 500ml chicken or beef stock depending on what you have Béchamel: 20g unsalted butter 20g plain flour Maybe around 1L milk? Salt Pepper Ground or grated nutmeg Parmesan Dry lasagna sheets More Parmesan Brown off the meat in a large pot. Remove it, then sweat of the veg (all finely chopped) in the same pan Re-add the meat and deglaze with the white wine and stock Stir in 2 large tbsp tomato paste Bring to a boil then put into the oven at 160 for 2 hours. This can all be done well in advance. Melt the butter in a pan and heat until bubbling Add the flour, stir and cook for 2 minutes Add the milk a little at a time, whisking as you go. Once thin and velvety like a sauce should be add a large pinch each of salt, pepper and nutmeg, and 2 large pinches of grated Parmesan. Loosen with more milk if you need to. Layer everything in a pan like I did in the video until you run out of something then cook it at 180 for 30 mins and 200 for the last 10-15 Let it cool a bit then serve.
