How CY Eats Chili Oil Began…
I used to travel extensively all over China for work (pre-Instagram), and I developed a serious love for the country & all of its incredible food. I had explored NYC’s Chinese food scene, but I never experienced the depth & breadth of the flavors that I found in China. And the same goes for CHILI OIL! Nearly every restaurant, from fancy to hole-in-the-wall, would offer an AMAZING chili oil! When I stopped traveling to China for work, I missed all of those rich flavors so much. But I couldn’t find a chili oil here remotely similar to what I had tried in China. And I had no idea how to make my own.
